A success story: With the purchase of the Vogtländische Waffelfabrik in Netzschkau in Saxony and the simultaneous foundation of Nawarra Süßwaren GmbH by today's managing director Klaus-Jürgen Nawarra the success story began in 1992. At this time, only foam waffles of all kinds were produced at the Netzschkau site. With the ever increasing demand, the capacity was exhausted at some point – in the production facility that had already been aging – was exhausted. Furthermore, the demand of the trade for foam kisses, but could not be met with the existing machinery. Klaus-Jürgen Nawarra and his son Stefan Nawarra decided to build a new 8,000 m² office and production hall in the nearby Mylau. Since the inauguration of the production facility in 2005, over 150 men and women have been working on the most modern production facilities at peak times. In 2006, the investment in a production line for foam kisses expanded production. Meanwhile, the company is IFS-certified at a high level, which ensures a high quality standard and corresponding quality assurance. In addition to the production of foam products, Nawarra Süßwaren GmbH has grown into the largest importer of Italian sweets and baked goods in Germany in recent years. At the sales and administration location Havixbeck, 25 employees are busy bringing the popular products to the man. The solid customer base includes the complete German food retail, discount store and the traditional retailer. For the future, the family business Nawarra is very well positioned in the market. Thanks to the planned investments in the next few years, nothing stands in the way of further expansion.
