The red seaweed has a delicately spicy aroma and are a delicious addition to soups, pasta and vegetables or roasted for sushi rolls. They are made using traditional Japanese process. Nori leaves from Japan are not yet available in certified organic quality. Preparation: lightly roast Nori over a gas flame or other heat source and process according to recipe. Note: algae are naturally rich in iodine. Excessive intake of iodine can lead to disruption of thyroid function. Therefore, the German Society for Nutrition recommends an average daily intake of no more than 0.2 mg of iodine.
