Note: Solid oak has been the classic furniture wood for centuries and a pure natural product. However, nature does not create identical structures and colours, so there are differences even within a tree trunk. But it is precisely these irregularities that make the furniture so appealing and that is why solid wood pieces of furniture are unique and can’t be replicated. With our handcrafted Castello table tops in particular, we have placed great emphasis on processing wood with cracks, pressure points, branches and holes. Piece by piece, this creates unique items that make up the uniqueness of the tables. Our furniture is deliberately rustic! But wood doesn't just work, it also breathes. That means that shrinking and stretching can warp it, and dry cracks, stress cracks and wind cracks can occur. Due to fluctuations in the indoor climate, these properties can be more pronounced. It is therefore advisable to slowly get the furniture used to an average air humidity of approx. 45-55%. If the room humidity is too low due to centrally heated rooms, it can cause cracks, wood warping and severe unevenness in the joint area. A delivered table will never be almost identical to the displayed goods because each piece of furniture is an individual, one-of-a-kind, handcrafted item. › See more product details
