Ingredients per 100 g: 50 g cornel, 10 g apples, 10 g onions, 30 g gelling sugar and spices (salt, curry, cumin, cardamon, turmeric, ginger). Store in a cool and dark place and store in the fridge after opening. About the cornel cherry (Dirndl): The cornel cherry (also called dirndl in Austria) originally comes from the Caucasus, but can also be found in southeast and central Europe. The dirndl is a very robust, frost-hardy and frugal shrub that can live for several hundred years. Very early in spring (from the beginning of March), the dirndl shrub delights with its bright yellow flowers. From August, the fruits begin to ripen and fall off. The purple ripe dirndl are painstakingly handmade, from nets laid under the shrubs. The harvest extends over a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Every few days newly fallen fruit must be collected.
