These excellent beveled edge chisels are named after the founder of Narex Bystrice, Mr. Vaclav Richter. Started to celebrate the company's centenary Made from a new type of carbon steel, alloy with chrome for improved hardening and vanadium for grain reduction and improved toughness. The steel is heat treated using a low temperature process to maximize the formation of the desirable crystalline martensite microstructure in the finished steel. The chisels are made with traditional pattern handles from Mr. Richter's time outfitted in ash for lightness and strength, extremely smooth finished and secured with a shatterproof, ground steel ferrule that bears the Richter logo and is finished with a thin leather roller. The chisels come coated with a lightweight anti-corrosion oil with VCI protection for each individual chisel to ensure they reach you in perfect condition. Combining the highest quality materials with professional build quality are these well-made chisels. The blades are made of chrome vanadium steel, tempered to Rc62 and undergo a cryogenic treatment to harden steel without causing its brittleness. Later finishing and polishing grinding ensure a high quality glossy finish. Bevel grinding at an angle of 24 is better suited for precise and medium hard and soft woodworking. If a larger angle is needed, as is usually the case with hardwood processing or is hit vigorously on the chisel with a hammer, it is easy to apply the second phase to the first. To ensure the distance from the side walls necessary for working in tight cavities, the thickness of the blade narrows from front to back. Manufactured to strict specifications, they are ground flat to an accuracy of 0.1mm along the first 2/3 of the blades measured from the top and sharpened to the sharp edge, requiring only light honing before use. The bridge of the chisel is ground very evenly and requires very little effort to obtain a perfectly flat chisel spine. The handle is made of European ash, which is an excellent choice for this purpose due to its hardness, strength and beautiful hair removal. The handle has an ergonomic shape and is carefully sanded. The handle has a convenient profiled shape and a convex end that is resistant to chipping from hammering.
